Quality & Inspection
Measured to specification. Verified, not assumed.
Our standard
What inspection means on a PRT job
Every component earns its place in a rebuild. Nothing is machined, fitted or returned before it has been assessed.
- Visual and dimensional inspection after cleaning
- Crack detection by the method appropriate to each component
- Bore, journal, face and housing measurement against specification
- Clearance verification during assembly
- A finished-unit check before handover
Measurement
What gets measured on a reconditioning job
Measurement is how a decision becomes a number. These are the critical checks behind engine machining and assembly.
Measured
Cylinder bores
Size, taper, out-of-round and finish are recorded at multiple depths before boring or honing is decided.
Measured
Crankshaft journals
Main and crankpin journals are checked for size, taper, ovality and run-out to plan the grind.
Measured
Decks & faces
Block and head decks are measured for flatness so sealing surfaces can be machined true.
Measured
Housings & alignment
Main bearing housings are measured for size and alignment before any line boring is planned.
Measured
Assembly clearances
Bearing, ring, piston and end-float clearances are verified during assembly, not assumed.

What we will and will not claim
This site publishes only what PRT confirms. Certifications, calibration records, tolerances and equipment specifications will appear here — and on the facility page — the moment PRT supplies them.
In the meantime, the claims on this site are deliberately limited to the process itself: components are inspected, measured and machined to specification. That is the standard, and it does not depend on a certificate.
